The 2nd annual Houston Latino Film Festival is finally here and I'm pretty excited that they chose one of my photographs to promote the event. My amazing friend and musician Gio Chamba (that I photographed a few months back) will be performing on opening night so be sure and purchase your badges for this special event. The badges allow you to attend the kickoff party on Thursday and all of the movie screenings during the festival.
This event not only highlights some of the best filmmakers in our city and in the state of Texas but also new and coming artists that are emerging from all over the U.S., Latin America, Spain and Portugal.
The event kicks off today March 23 at Talento Blilingue de Houston and that is located in the East End. This event lasts all the way through the 26th! My very talented friends The8thLetter and Visual Contraband will also be displaying some of their work, so be sure and check it out because they are some of the most popular photographers in the Houston night scene. They go to some really amazing lengths and heights to capture the beauty of our city at night. I have linked their Instagram galleries as well so follow them and support local artists in our city!
Visit the official page for the Latino Film Festival for film screening times and the list of events that will be going on (and remember to follow their official Instagram page).
