NYE 2016 - Houston HOB

Well 2015 went out with a bang! I had such an amazing year and I just wanted to do a quick recap of it!  I think 2015 was bittersweet for me because it finalized a really long chapter of my life but it was also a rebirth and revival for this new life I'm living now.  I feel like this year was such a learning experience for me in so many different ways.  It made me realize that you can do anything you want in life, but you just have to find your inner purpose.  I feel like this year I finally embarked on things that were out of the ordinary and way out of my comfort zone!  I decided to book spontaneous vacations with new friends and explore cities with our cameras in hand!  I really think that those trips to NYC and Miami really changed my life in so many ways (personally and artistically).

This year was such a whirlwind and it feels like things happened so fast but it makes me so grateful for the constant people in my life.  I really don't know what I would do without  my family and those really close friends that I have made along the years.  I think 2015 was really significant because it was a turning point to where I formed stronger friendships and ties to people who really have my best interest at heart.

My NYE was even more amazing!  I rang in the New Year on stage at the House of Blues with The Suffers!  I have to shoutout drummer extraordinaire Dominick Oscar for taking me backstage with him.  If you haven't caught one of Dominick's solo shows or performances with his band Def Perception, you are totally missing out (but that's another blog post all in itself).  Gio Chamba and Coffeeleaf hosted the event and there were live performances by some of Houston's hottest bands like Def Perception, Los Skarnales and The Suffers.  The Waxaholics ended the event and I really had a fabulous time dancing the night away and counting down the seconds till midnight with some of my favorite people.
