Flashback to one year ago when my cousin Florisa (Instagram: TxWildFleur) and I were in Boston! This was such a spontaneous vacay (like always) and we had such an amazing trip. We didn't really follow any agendas or itineraries and just really did whatever we wanted. We spent the entire trip laughing and drinking and eating LOL! We arrived into Logan Airport and had no idea what we were doing and got on a bus, and we had no idea if it was headed in the right direction or not but luckily it was. We then got our subway tickets for the week and rode it down to the Boston Waterfront District because that is where we booked our hotel. It was the cutest place and it was tiny and perfect for a 2 night stay. We were within walking distance to the North End which is one of my favorite parts of Boston and to Fanueil Hall. We decided to hit up the North End on our first day and ate at my favorite restaurant La Dolce Vita (by the way she fell in love with it too). It has some of the most authentic and savory Italian dishes. I love the ambience, and it just takes me back to actually being in Italy. We then explored the area and ended up at the underground Stanza de Sigari, yep you guessed it a cigar bar LOL! We spent all afternoon just enjoying ourselves and walking around different areas near our hotel. If you are in the North End you must grab a canoli or two or a box full like I did LOL at Mike's Pastry and I promise you that you won't regret it! We walked the entire day, just sightseeing and taking pictures. At night we ended up at a bar by the name of Hennessey! Why did we end up there? Well let me tell you why, because we overheard this beautiful jazzy Amy Winehouse voice blaring through the front door and we were sold. So it turns out a local band with the name of Big Party Orchestra is a regular live show there on Thursday nights. If you are ever in the area, be sure to check them out....they were truly one of the highlights of our trip! Okay so this was just our first day in Boston, but on another Friday I'll probably flashback and share some more funny stories from our trip and more key locations to visit while in Boston. I love the fall foliage there, and I can't ever get enough of that beautiful city and I will probably keep going back every year for more fun!
