My Philosophy...

So I always get the same question....and that being "HOW OLD ARE YOU"? LOL and I never give the real answer so please stop asking ;) but if you actually know my age then you will probably proceed to ask me what it is that I use on my face.  Well, my little beauty secret is PHILOSOPHY and that combined with my great genetic background of course...but anyway I'm really obsessed with their products and I'll tell you why.

I discovered Philosophy from my makeup and beauty product lovin cousin Florisa (her name is @TxWildFleur on Instagram).  I went through a phase where my skin was giving me a lot of problems and I was frustrated beyond belief!  It was red and flakey, and extremely dry.  I only drink water during the week and I increased my intake and I used Aveeno products and nothing would help.  I've always been extremely lucky to have really great skin that is neither oily nor dry and I get the occasional breakout when it's that time of the month.  I didn't really know which products to try and little did I know that I had a skin disorder that was the real underlying issue (blog post coming soon on SPF and skin issues).

I started off with Purity facewash because it is hypoallergenic and it melts away the eye makeup like magic.  I love the fact that this cleanser goes a really long way because a tiny pea sized drop is all you need.  I like cleaning my makeup brushes with it as well.  This cleanser really toned down the redness I had and I paired it up with a few of their other products.  Soon after that I started trying more products and now I'm hooked.  I'll leave you with a few of my faves from Philosophy and a link to their site.

Hope In a Jar- this is my favorite cream.  I use it overnight after I shower, but sometimes I use it in the day too.  I have regular skin and I always forget the importance of moisturizing because I don't ever feel like I need it.  Lucky me that I live in a sauna type environment LOL (HoustoN) and my skin is always glowing.  It has a rich creamy consistency that absorbs quickly so you aren't left with oily skin.  It evens your skin tone as well.

Microdelivery Peel- this is by far my favorite exfoliant.  It left my skin feeling like a newborn baby LOL.  I purchased a little kit to try it and I fell in love.  Now I use this once a week to give my skin a little radiance.  It is a 2 step process that I'll discuss in further detail in another post.  It is really quick and easy to do and gives you excellent results.

Take a Deep Breath Eye Cream- my favorite eye cream.  I never used to think about eye cream until I hit the big 3-0.  It is designed to bring back bright eyes, and lately I just feel a little tired and overworked so I needed a little boost.  It rejuvenates the fine lines around the eyes and increases oxygen levels.  I love it and again, a little goes a long way.  It has a cooling effect that feels good as well and it helps with puffiness.

*I purchase a lot of my Philosophy products at ULTA Beauty because they have really great bargains, but here is a link to Amazon as well!
